💡 Tips for Accurate Measurement

BMI only uses height and weight and cannot account for muscle mass. Body fat percentage measures actual fat proportion, making it a more accurate health indicator.
The US Navy method is accurate within about 3-4% compared to DEXA scans. It is the most reliable method you can do at home with a tape measure.
For men, 10-20% is healthy; for women, 18-28%. Athletes typically maintain 6-13% (men) or 14-20% (women).
